OMG! How To Date A Douchebag: The Learning Hours is one of those books I will never forget. It was so good and had me glued to the pages while falling hopelessly in love with a very different kind of hero. Hands down... Rhett Rabideaux stole my heart in the first sentence of the book. He was so unexpected yet so charming and humble throughout the entire book. As a man, he won my respect. As a young male college student, he commanded my admiration. As an allstar wrestler, he demanded my team dedication and spirit. As an individual who was subject to hazing and bullying, he had my complete sympathy. How he handled the negativity was beyond commendable. He is the true definition of strength and fortitude. All these great individual qualities are enough to make the reader swoon but Sara Ney made Rhett all the more desirable with his sexy southern charm and mastery of the French language.

Rhett Rabideaux gave up everything to attend Iowa State on a wrestling scholarship in his junior year. Who does that? Only the fearless soul who's willing to take a risk. What he didn't count on was a team full of douchebags that treated him worst than dirt. He can tolerate the team hazing up to a point until it cost him over $400. When his teammates put posters of him up, which included his phone number, advertising to get him laid went beyond their normal douchery. It was downright humiliating. Now he's dealing with texts from numerous women that make sexting look innocent. There's one texter that catches his attention even though he wants to blow her off. Her snarky wit and the fact that no pictures are included seems safe enough to respond to until he finds out who he's exchanging texts with.

It all started on a dare and the command of the magic 8 ball when Laurel decided to text Rhett as a joke. When his combative responses started burning up her phone she couldn't do anything but engage in the battle. After a few days of texting and a simple phone conversation she's beginning to see Rhett in a different light. The more she learns about him, the more she wants his undivided attention. This series is addicting and I'm always looking forward to the next installment, and the next douchebag we are going to meet, but in The Learning Hours, we meet the complete opposite of a douchebag, we meet hero of this story, who's the most sweet, sincere, and naive guy on the wrestling team at Iowa. I instantly fell in love with him and wanted him to find love in the worst way possible.

As you can read from the blurb, it all starts with an add, get our teammate laid, what starts as a joke ends up leading to an amazing story of acceptance, finding beauty in the eye of the beholder, and teaching someone how to accept who they are. Our hero doesn't actually have the looks the previous characters in this series, but he's got the body, and his personality is one that any woman would love to date.. but he's timid, and really isn't sure of himself outside of wrestling. When what starts off as a joke with a girl, ends up becoming more, he doesn't know how to handle her flirting, and how a girl like her could possibly want something to do with him. With the team hazing him, him not knowing what to do with her, things get crazy and I loved his awkward attempts at flirting and his internal conflict at trying to figuring things out. Seeing her dealing with her feelings for him as well was frustrating as well.

These characters were a match made in heaven. On the outside they may not be perfect, but they truly are perfect for one another. I truly enjoyed watching their story play out and watching them learn how to navigate a relationship where both of them learned about their insecurities, what they wanted and how to get what they wanted. Seeing both of them grow in this book, and all of the hilarity that ensued while it happened was awesome. This book was definitely not about a douchebag, but we definitely met a lot throughout it! I can't recommend this book enough, and I highly recommend picking up this stand-alone in a series of amazing books!
Oh how I LOVED this book! I've enjoyed this series so much but this book is my favorite. I loved how the author switched it up and made the female lead the douchebag in this book. Rhett is the shy new star wrestler who just transferred from a different university. Laurel is the "It" girl on campus. They couldn't be more opposite in personalities but they just fit so perfectly together. Once Laurel really got to knock Rhett she fell and she fell hard. I can't rave on this book enough!!
Let me start by saying how much I love Sara Ney. She is an amazing author . She continued to prove that with this book. I think that The Learning Hours is my favorite of the How to date a Douchbag series. I loved Rhett .
Rhett is new to Iowa , a transfer from Louisiana for wrestling . He starts to suffer a but of some hazing from other team memeber. Then the guys putt flyers up to Get Rett Laid with his phone number . Rhett is not you classic handsome or good looking guy and he is not a Douchbag .
Laurel a junior who is beautiful responds to the flyer because the magic 8 ball said too. but she lies . however what does she do when she starts to really like Rhett.
I think.in this story Laurel is actually the Douchbag at first . Rhett is a good guy , just trying to keep his scholarship and has a low self esteem. Laurel lies to him about who she is . But when he finds out who she actually is can he forgive her.
I loved this book , it was such a different take then the other ones in this series . I liked the male being the more vulnerable character . I think this is one of my favorite books by Sara Ney so far. Great book , great story with great characters.
